Menstrual hygiene management is often looked at as just a women’s concern. At the second school we visited, with Living Dreams International, which was Karambazungu high school, the headmaster and a few teachers, both men and women joined in our discussions as well as sewed some pads!

It was such a privilege to sit in a room with men and women discussing menstruation. Such an approach ensures that our girls grow to be more confident in themselves and the natural phenomenon that is menstruation.
